3 Simple Steps to Look Your Demons in the Eye!
We all harbor resentments, judgments, and suppressed negative emotions. It is part of our human make up. When we suffer an emotional or spiritual trauma (these can be physical as well) our bodies have a protection program that ignites in order for us to survive the pain of the trauma.
Where do these traumas go? In our brains we have sections called Amygdalas. This is the area of our gray matter that controls emotions, emotional behavior, and motivation. The shape of these amygdalas look like a spiral, with the inner most portion of these swirls holding our earliest trauma memories. When we were young, things that were painful for our little brains to handle were swept away into these amygdalae and were kept in the dark for us to deal with later in life when we could handle it a little better.
But what happens is that when it is time for us to "handle" these traumas as adults, we are told that they are medical conditions such as anxiety, depression, bi-polar disorder and another "condition" that requires to over load our systems with medication. This medication numbs the pain and stops the uncomfortable feelings associated with these traumas...leaving them never dealt with. Our bodies harbor these repressed and hidden emotions and manifest as sickness, progress blocks in life and a series of unfortunate events that manifest so that you are forced to deal with the trauma.
For example, When I was a child, my parents divorced. It was a messy divorce and it left me feeling (as a 7 year old) that I was a pawn in this sick game my parents played of who could screw over who first. I grew up with lots of guilt trips placed upon me, feelings of having to choose sides, feelings of resentment and hatred towards my parents that I could never fully express. These unhealed traumas as a child, turned into blockages in life that forced me to seek enlightenment and wedge these traumas out in the open so that I could transfigure them to the Universe and clear the negative karma that I was holding.
The area of my life that finally broke the camels back was that I was part-time at work, fully broke, and miserable in life. I associated money with my dad because finances is associated with the masculine (left) hemisphere of the brain. Emotions are associated with the feminine (right) hemisphere of the brain. In order to be in our God states, we need balance over both hemispheres equally. I cleared up my Dad side and Mom side of the brain by 3 simple, but yet the most difficult steps. Once I able to bring forth my demons, transfigure them to God, I was able to unfold a life that is full of support and love from the Universe in ALL aspects of my life.
The steps that I will describe are simple. It is something that everyone can do and it cost nothing!!
Start with writing a letter to your mom and a letter to you dad. They don't need to be around or even in our earthly plain, it is the intent behind the letter that will start the healing rolling. I say start with each parent because they represent each hemisphere of your brain and we need both sides balanced.
This letter should be written as follows:
Step 1) Play the victim!! Write down all the things that you wanted to say as a child, but never got to say. In this section (which is the hardest), be raw, be vulnerable, be the kid you that was feeling the pain yo felt back then. Be sure to address all the things you felt were lost or taken from you. Play the victim.
Step 2) Play the perpetrator. Patterns repeat, so think about all the stuff that you were victim to and acknowledge that you behaved in the same way towards others...including yourself. For example, I was always made to feeling guilty about the divorce, while I knew it wasn't my fault, I was made to feel sorry for my parent because it happened to them. As an adult, I had placed such high expectations on myself that if I did not meet my expectations of myself, I would guilt myself into thinking I wasn't good enough. The trauma that I had experienced as a kid I was repeating on myself. Play the perpetrator.
Step 3) Find the reason. If your life had not played out they way it did, how different would you be? If you did not endure the traumas that you did, would you be as strong as you are now? Find the blessings and purpose in what you experience and understand that your life was meant to happen the way it did in order to make you who you are right now. Once you understand that NOTHING happens by chance, you'll appreciate the good and BAD experiences that you went through. Find the reason.
Wait!! There is a secret 4th step......Read it out loud to someone you trust.... this could be the person you wrote the letter to, a friend or family member, you counselor or spiritual leader/mentor. In Mathew 18:20, it says, "for where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the middle of them." This means that when you voice these letter out loud with the intention of God or the Universe to hear them, you are giving these emotions and their traumatic origins to God and allowing him to turn them into divinely necessary lessons that will serve your life.
Once you clear these traumas and turn the negative emotion into a more positive and understood experience, you will start to shift your life in a more positive direction. If you fully commit to the letter writing process and the transformation you will go through (it will be bumpy, persevere through), you will come out with a life you never thought you could have. I swear by this process because I did it and it all happened to me.
I was fortunate to have my friend and spiritual mentor Samantha Geiger at Holistic Light House in Roseville CA to walk me through her letter writing process and be there for my reading of the letters.
For a more detailed explanation, please visit her sight www.lifechanginginsights.com She can do phone and Skype sessions if you do not live locally.
I hope you find the strength and determination to overcome your traumas no matter how big or small. This process will work for you if you let it. Please take care of yourself and find your happy. I will end with a Spirit Guid Card reading for those of you to find the inspiration to work on yourselves.
This is the Psychic Awareness Card. It represents the Divine Soul.
(It is funny that this card fell out of the deck when I pulled. I asked for a card that would inspire all of you to work on yourselves and to find the ability to transfigure all of your demons and holdups and to help you create a life you love.)
The meaning of this card:
Your Divine Soul is awakening, and with it your psychic abilities are coming alive. More evolved an specific than basic intuition, your psychic faculties are giving you access to the fourth dimension and are coming into contact with discarnate, enlightened helpers who can assist and guide you in beautiful ways. You may start accessing Divine music or tap in to new healing energies. you also may receive telepathic messages and have clairvoyant visions.
Heed your newly aroused psychic faculties, and don't doubt the specific and profound transmissions flowing to you. Record your dreams, believe in your hunches, and accept symbols and signals being relayed to you from the psychic realm. Trust your vibes, and embrace your psychic channels fully; what they're communicating is essential to fulfilling your purpose. Ask your Divine Soul to lead you. It's message: "Embrace and trust what you receive."
This is from the oracle card deck Ask Your Guides, by Sonia Choquette.
From this card and the topic of this post. I feel that if you are reading this, You are exactly where you should be and have the support of the Universe/God to make the healthy needed changes to unfold a life that is greater than you could have ever imagined. Trust yourself and trust the process.
Life the intent of God and find happiness the smallest of things.
